Measurement information

Updated 16 October 2026. Course Radar uses anonymous, combined usage counts to improve its website and service. We do not use these counts for advertising or share them with providers for commercial reports.

What we count

Provider website-link clicks are covered across the current WordPress directory: 274 published listings, checked against the directory and its destination rules on 16 October 2026. This includes listing cards and known provider links on individual listing pages. Listings sharing a provider website remain separate in the totals, using their course and directory location context. A directory location is not confirmation of the venue for a particular session.

We also count links from our advice hub and course guides, including IPAF, PASMA and first aid, into website training search. A provider-link click is an action on Course Radar, not proof of an enquiry or booking. Course Radar does not handle bookings or course payments.

We count completed first-page directory search displays, their result totals and zero-result displays, using the website’s completed native query. Only a known course code or “other” is recorded. Reopening or refreshing results can add another count; these are actions, not unique visitors.

Phone-link activations are covered on 44 directory listings and email-link activations on eight listings, using the exact public contact links already provided by those pages. An activation does not prove that a call connected or an email was sent. Contact numbers and addresses are not included in the usage-count event.

A separate provider-signup counter is written when Contact Form 7 reports its server-side mail_sent status for form130, mail has not been skipped and counts are allowed. This records acceptance of the form’s primary mail step. It does not confirm inbox delivery or publication of a provider listing. The measurement feature does not read or store form answers.

Activity inside the linked app is separate from this website feature. New or changed directory records need their measurement context reconciled, so the dated coverage above describes the current registry.

Your choice

Use the controls near the top of this page to turn usage counts off in one click, free of charge. The website footer links to this page. Counts are on unless you previously turned them off, your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, or preference storage is unavailable. An off choice stops further counts and cancels pending requests where possible; actions taken while off are not saved for later replay.

Your choice is kept in sessionStorage for this browser tab/session. A fixed value is briefly written and removed to check that the choice can be saved. No visitor or device identifier is created.

Sources and stored information

Where a recognised campaign link is used, we retain only a broad category such as personal LinkedIn, the company LinkedIn page, Facebook or a provider share within the same Course Radar website session. This category helps us understand which routes are useful. It is removed when counts are turned off or privacy settings prevent counting. We do not pass it to the app or create an individual browsing history.

Stored event totals contain public listing/course/location or article references and a broad source category. They do not contain names, email addresses, phone numbers, raw searches, visitor postcodes, coordinates, form answers, full URLs, IP addresses, user-agent strings or visitor/device identifiers. This feature sets no analytics cookie and uses no localStorage.

Active totals cover the current UTC day and previous 29 days. Scheduled and accepted-event maintenance removes older buckets. Hosting logs and backups are separate; their retention has not been verified as part of this feature. Collection limits and off choices mean these totals are not a complete measure of all website activity.
